Today's cordage score

Been looking for a pc of 10/4 to add to my generator cord to move it back a ways in the yard. want about 20ft or so .
came across an ad in our classifies, ( Kijiji) for 150' of 10/4 for $100
I called to see if that was an accurate price, the lister said yes, it is , I am open to offers. I wasn't looking to make an offer, I just wanted to know if it was bait & switch pricing . Told him I'd be there in an hour .
Get there and he has a wheel barrow full of cord.
1st (bottom of picture) pile is 60' of 16/4
2nd pile is 50' of 12/3
last 3 piles is at least 150' of 10/4
all in good condition, no noticeable abrasions or cuts. seller told me it was used once for an outdoor event.

I got several large coils of 12-3 SO and 8-4 NM-b from temporary feeds to production equipment that had to move several times during a project. Still using the SO cords 30 years later!

Is the jacket stripped back and then everything wrapped in electric tape?

Looks skinny at the plug, then super fat further back, almost like there's two cables.

here's a close up of the drier plug splice . I suspect it's probably one of those drier cords that has a #12 ground & neutral making the diameter smaller .
before you get your knickers in a knot, it will be removed. LOL
