Tool choice question.

Guys last time I posted something like this a lot of you had a good time kidding around with me and it really got off topic.

I know it seems funny to those of you in the know but I'm wondering what the difference is functionally between a

12" double bevel compound saw

And the same but sliding.

Price is more than double where I'm looking and I want to know what the sliding will do that the other won't. I'm just getting into doing a lot of my own work and I don't want to buy a tool that is too limiting nor one I'll never need.

My project I'm shopping for is to install gladiator gearwall in the garage.

The slider will cut a wider piece of wood without having to flip the board over.

I wish you could buy a non dual bevel sliding miter saw. I looked for a while before buying mine but never saw them. I ended up with the Bosch GCM12SD but I seriously doubt I will ever use the dual bevel function.

A dewalt dws780 sliding saw will cut 14" i believe. The new bosch saws are insane, robotic arm. Very smooth.

A bit weebly though... I've not gotten a square cut with it yet but I need to spend some more time messing with it this season. I adjusted the 90 degree stop several times with my machinist squares and the cuts were not really close.

Could just be something off with my particular saw though.

When i went to buy a new saw, it was either the bosch or dewalt. The salemans said the bosch gets out of whack easily, and considering id be moving it around alot, i chose the dewalt. But the bosch was so cool. It was a very hard decision.
