Tool identification

Here is a tool I purchased that I have no idea what it's for. It says H.C. TOOLS 50114F on the bar. It doesn't look old, but must be specialized since it's eight point.

Should fit 7/16 and 1/2 squares for Model A B C and V8

Pre V8 versions were flat.
