I had one of these.

Got it about 15 years ago. Handy tool. Blows lots of air and can be placed at odd angles. Used it a lot to cool underhood items on vehicles, or under the car when work near the exhaust was needed "right now".

Last week, I sat it up on a bench at the shop while doing some work. Caught the cord somehow and off it went onto the floor.

Bye-bye Blue Blower. I guess 15 years makes the plastic brittle. It more or less shattered.

Anyway - went looking online for another. Prices varied substantially, some of the lower amounts had outrageous shipping charges.

Found one on Toolfetch.com and placed the order on Wednesday.

I am used to online vendors actually showing stock for items they will either drop-ship to me, or will order in and ship out.

This AM, I got a PHONE CALL from them stating that the part was backordered and they were getting no realistic delivery dates from the manufacturer.

The caller suggested a different brand of blower that they'd been selling in place of the one I ordered, and that buyers had been happy with them.

I changed my order based on their suggestion.

I don't know ToolFetch from a hole in the wall, but for an online vendor to call the very next day rather than just leaving me on the hook waiting for a product they couldn't deliver is surprising...

Just thought I'd share.
