Don't touch--those are mine.

Not counting another dozen or so scattered around the brewery and pub and wherever else someone just left them--and a half-dozen or my most regular users piled on my bench. And the box full in the Connex because I don't use them but they might come in handy someday.

Is that too many?

Routers. I have 11. I think I bought four of them new, the others were low cost yard sale buys that were fine as they were, or $5 cheapies that needed brushes or bearings replaced. Most of those were PC690s. When it came time to trim out the house and build all the cabinetry, I ended up with three routers dedicate to cope, stick and raised panel bits. Two more for another set of cope and stick. Two routers for the dovetail jig for making drawer boxes. The other four for whatever I needed. A mix of PC and Bosch. Have to say just putting away one and pulling out another without having to change the bit setup make for a pretty darn efficient workflow.

Drills. Or drill bits if you want to call them that. I have several hundred if not a thousand. A few are shown in my avatar.

Spring clamps. Maybe 450 or so. And that's probably not too many as sometimes I feel I need more, lol.

Hex wrenches. I have way too many for me, maybe not enough for some of you. But for me? Excess. This is some of them...maybe half of them?

Doing some cleaning and organizing, I discovered I have no fewer than seven 9" paint roller frames. Bog standard, you probably want a pole to go with them, frames. Plus one with a bit of telescoping pole built in. Plus hot dog roller, three narrow roller frames, a corner roller. I am not a painter. I hate painting. I don't do it except when absolutely necessary. My wife will paint things, but never with me. I have no idea how we have managed to get so many of the damn things.

I can't be the only person who has useless tools breeding in the closet, can I?
9 paint roller frames is an absurd number? If 9 is an absurd number then I have an absurd number of many things.

25 ft tape measures. Whenever I start a project, I can never find one. Then, when I go buy materials, I buy another one. The last time I did a total cleanup of the garage, I had 14. I put them all in one drawer, and I noticed that now I’m back down to 6. Time for another cleanup.

I may have a slight ratchet problem. Four 3/4, nine 1/2, 32 3/8, and 24 1/4. At least that's fairly close, there's probably a few more of each floating around somewhere.
Just remembered three more half inch ratchets.

So, when somebody asks if you have any vices what is your response?
You know, not long ago, someone posted (referring yo Shiftless), something like “What can you say about a guy whose avatar is a bench vise?” Well, I guess , after seeing the reallly nice shelves and displayed so well, we can say that he cares alot about them.

How big's that allen? Mine go up to 36mm, I have absolutely no use for it except as a hammer - but I'd love a 2" one.

It's 1-1/4". Came out of a machine shop @ auction along with some large wrenches. My wife uses this wrench home defense.

nice!! What a monster, looks like 2 3/16!

Here's my 36mm allen lol, it weighs about 7.5 lbs

I have a whole set of "Gehawe W Germany" jumbo keys from 17-36mm I picked up on marketplace. I've thought about ordering some M48 bolts from McMaster and making something out of them so the 36mm can have a purpose in its life again.IMG_0316.jpeg

A cousin has an 18 wheeler full of jacks. Hundreds of them spanning likely 100+ years of technological advancements. I need to get photographs and some video the next time I visit. It was astonishing seeing so many different types in one place. Jacks for cars to buildings and much more in between.

But does he have a jack for jacking up a truck full of jacks? What will he do if the truck gets jacked?

Pliers, screwdrivers, files, punches, chisels, ratchets, wrenches, pullers, c clamps, vise grips, bit sockets, drill bits..... and loose hex L keys that come with stuff and I put in a small plastic tray in the hex key drawer and will never use. That's it!

This got me thinking about that ToolboxTours video with the guy who was a motorcycle stunt driver. He had the coolest shop I think I've ever seen, and I'd probably live there and never leave.

He also definitely had a hoarding problem with tools. Guy had like 3 drawers with nothing in them but vise-grips, and overflowing. He had an entire drawer of different distributor wrenches, at least 100 of them. I've never seen anything like that guy's distributor wrenches before.

He really had a breathtaking shop though. It was the most amazing place, with everything you'd ever need.

What all those vises, and no luv for the bullet???
Of course I have love for those too.
They are up on a separate shelf out of camera range. I have 2, 2 1/2, 3, 3 1/2, and 4 inch ones.
The 6 inch and 8 inch ones are too heavy. “A man has to know his limitations” Harry Callahan
