I was wondering if anyone has recent pics of there toptul wrench sets in there box.
What kind of finish do they come in?Im looking at getting the extra long 10-19 and then the 26 piece metric sets
Wow thats a good price. In the picture of the extra long wrenches it shows 2 different materials and design.Which is the one they sell.I also saw somewhere they sell like a American design and a European design.
k-eg,
You have to read in the description (below the picture of the wrenches) which finish is in stock. For the 10-19mm, extra long combination wrenches, the satin chrome finish (European design) is only available for purchase. You also have to read the descriptions for 2 out of the 3, 26 piece, metric combination wrench sets to find out the finish type. For one of the 26 piece wrench sets, there are radio buttons on the description page where you can choose your preferred finish (http://www.thetoolchest.ca/products/26PC-Combination-Wrench-Set-%28Metric%29.html).

what domestic brand would compare to these? im looking for metric combos
I dont think so.I think the design of the wrench is different from a standard wrench
question for "dede"im noticing that on Wrens website that they all show having full polish wrenches? These are the 2 that im interested in:
http://wrenhandtools.com/wrenches/x-long_combo_wrench_15offset.html
http://wrenhandtools.com/wrenches/long_combo_wrench_15offset.html
Now do they make these sets available to buy in this material?
k-eg,
According to the Toptul's website, the extra long and long combination wrenches are available in the full polish finish.
I would not rely on Mike Wren's website. It is a mess and does not allow a customer to view his current prices and place an order.
Last year, I purchases some wrenches and socket extensions from him. I had a positive experience with him. However, Mike Wren's customer service experience is his weakness. He works in the finance industry as his main job. Mike Wren's Toptul business is a side job. With Mike Wren, it is necessary to keep on him with multiple phone calls (509-993-4678) for the order to ship out in a timely manner.
I would recommend calling Mike Wren about your Toptul wrench set wish list. He used to offer a GarageJournal only 30% discount on his remaining stock. Do not be surprised if you have difficulty in getting a call back from him based on GJ member "vette-kid" last month's experience here (post# 443): http://www.garagejournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=24294&page=23.
If you have poor luck with Mike Wren, I would call "TheToolChest.ca" and ask about placing an order for the full polish wrench sets. It might take months for you to receive them since "TheToolChest.ca" places large orders with Toptul in Taiwan at least 2 times a year.

im going to call toolchest tomorro to find some stuff out. just tell them im a GJ member for that 20% discount?
