"Hi, I have a trane xl90 with a heating issue. Every now and then the heat would stop working. Meaning I would go in the basement open the furnace and I get 3 flashes from the LED. So I checked the venting I have 3" for a 30 foot run not blocked. Then checked the condensate line not blocked. This furnace never ran 100 percent this issue seems to get worse over time. As for the piping it's 26' vertical and has two elbows.

Thanks, Art

It's flashing the error code, just call your installer and he'll be able to tell you what the code means. I can't help you on the codes, even though I have a similar unit in my house...I leave troubleshooting to the pros.

That is a trouble code if the installer was nice he left the book for the furnace next to it and we can get the trouble codes out of the book otherwise I need the model number and serial number and I can get the code for you . I would wager the most likely problem is a dirty flame sensor if I had to guess.

Look on the blower cover. many times there wiring diagram is glued there. It might have the error codes.
