I had to call my mechanic about this. He has a 30-ton jack but only one cylinder.

Would a two-cylinder jack be over 60+ tons?

Let's refine this. Not planning on jacking a building (which I've witnessed), so regarding common home mechanic's use.

All the dual pumps do is raise the lift arm quicker when not under load. They don't make lifting the load any easier. I found that out after buying that Daytona. It's a good jack but it's not bionic.

I have heard that the old Milwaukee Hydraulics Model 20 will lift a two ton load with your pinky finger.

Ya, the one I have takes a lot more to lift than any regular jack I’ve used. It is nice to use the second lever when setting it up on a tall vehicle though.

Not are they super or any such thing. Just are they good, worthwhile or misleading marketing?
It’s Not New technology by any means, It has been in production for years. In regards to quick lift technology, I prefer twin pump versus single. As others have mentioned, it does Nothing in regards to lifting the load, only aids in bringing the lift arm up faster till it contacts the lift point.

Thinking through the twin cylinder idea, it seems that in the space taken by two small cylinders one larger one with much more plunger area might be more efficient at lifting the load.

Does a larger capacity jack require less effort on smaller loads than a smaller capacity jack assuming capacity is based on cylinder size?

Like a master cylinder, the smaller the bore, the less fluid it moves. Meaning it will take less force, but more travel. In a brake lever, that would mean it would have a soft feel, but the lever would have to be moved further.

In a jack, it would mean easier to lift a vehicle, but it would take more pumps. So a quick lift lever would have a larger bore to move the jack further per pump, but it would take way more force to actually lift the vehicle. That’s probably done with leverage, ie, the longer handle.

My jack would be much easier to use if it had a smaller bore.
