I need to run two 2-2-2-4 cables from my house to some solar panels about 180 feet away. Can these be run in the same trench? The plan is to put them in 2" conduit. Is there anything else I should be mindful of?
Here is a little background info, if anyone is curious. I have two arrays of 260W solar panels, each with 24 panels. There are two arrays because I have to split the load evenly between my two meters (the utility does not want me to sell them more than I use from either of the meters). There will be 240v at the panels, and it needs to travel about 180 feet to the meters. I calculated the cable size I need and determined that 4 gauge is necessary. Since it is hard to get a good 4 gauge bundle, I was going to go with the 2-2-2-4 USE MHF cable (Southwire, sold by Home Depot).
