Uneven concrete floor question....

I would like to put a nice coating on my 40 year old boathouse floor. It is a rather small area, about 14' x 22'.

The problem is, there are uneven areas where the concrete wasn't smoothed out; kind of a wash board or wavy look that probably varies 1/2 inch.

I don't know if I should try to patch or grind.....
or is either one practical?

Any input appreciated....

I would recommend a combination of both with more grinding than patching. This is simply from a cost perspective. It takes ALOT of material to make up for 1/2". Once you have ground the concrete thoroughly, then put on a THICK coat of 100% solids material.

Guess I need to learn about grinding. I will check out the local rental stores.
