On CL, they want $11 for it. Unfortunately, it's a 2 hour drive away from me. Otherwise, I'd go get it. Made to clamp in a vise, according to the ad. I guess I'm easily amused!

That's a 'Cole drill', a somewhat more 'modern' (1940's) version of the old 'ratchet drill'. It actually can be a useful tool, for such as field structural drilling or repair work when no power is available. The spindle carries 1/2" shank drills.

A few years back there was an industrial supply in Southern California who was selling NOS Cole drills. I picked one up and it was truly unused. I am sorry I did not buy the matching vise.

Hmm... I just found their phone number. I'll have to give them a call.

Above it is shown with the vise that is part of the 'kit'. I have a friend that may still have one with vise for sale but he is asking a couple of hundred for the whole kit.
