Upgrade DMM

I currently have a TPI model 194 II. I like the meter but it's become wonky lately so I'd like to upgrade. Something in the fluke arsenal. I know the 87/88v are automotive, but i also use my meters for electronics and household use. My current meter does true rms where as the 87/88 does not. I don't think I need rpm pickup as obdii has that already and dwell is not something I would ever use. What do you all think? What's the latest and greatest?

The Fluke 87V is good for industrial use, electronics, home, and auto... an all-around great meter. It offers true RMS readings. If you can afford it I highly recommend it. It is my go to meter whether checking batteries, electronics/circuit boards, home wiring, automotive/car charging circuit, troubleshooting industrial controls/PLCs, 480V motor circuits/VFDs...whatever. Great all-around DMM.

The Brymen BM319 or the Fluke 87V would be the two i would want to upgrade to. I just can't tell if the Brymen is true RMS.

Fluke 87v is NOT the automotive meter.

It is a top end general purpose meter.

From all the literature I looked at the Brymen BM319 does not appear to be true RMS... it does say worst case AC voltage and current measurement accuracy is +/-2.2%. Of course true RMS measurements are better for AC voltages and currents.
