Upstairs bathroom bottom plates

i’m framing out an upstairs bathroom. Is there any reason or need to use pressure-treated two by fours for the bottom plate?

Ideally, it’s not going to be a really wet environment, but there will be moisture present. The floor is advantech which has proven itself to be pretty impervious to water damage.

Or can I just seal the bottom joint with caulk and maybe slap some paint on there if I’m worried about it?

No. If water gets to your framing, you have bigger problems.

If yiu are tiling, you could use a membrane under, like ditra, and bring it up the wall, fully waterproofing the floor
