Heres a 3 evening project I did about 3 weeks ago. 16 feet of workbench with 24 inch shelves above:

I haven't figured the cost of a wood bench in awhile. Just curious, with lumber getting higher than a stoner at a Rob Zombie show, what'd that set you back?

Those benches look pretty sturdy. I've got a similar one that was made about 110 years ago...it's getting a little rickety nowdays.

The bike collection has been whittled down to just the yellow one, a 2000 Honda VFR800FI Interceptor and the funny looking tall white one called aTransAlp. I'll keep the TransAlp to my dying day.

Will leave the benches natural, I guess, thats how I always do.

The shelves are hanging from the top chord of the trusses, not the wall. They are 6 foot up (I'm 5' 10") so if I move the benches out I won't bonk my head.

Cost? Too painful to remember, but I know the plywood was about $40/sheet and the studs $4.

I just ordered a lift from Autolifters (M6), delivery in 6-7 weeks, can't wait! I'll get an electrician to redo my lights with nice 8 foot bulbs and quality fixtures and wire the 220 for the lift.

I figured as much.... I have a VFR 800 too, and it's a great bike....
