Hi guys, Im brand new to the site and just spent the last 2 hours searching previous posts so I decided just to post my issues and see what help can be offered..

Prolly goin the Armstrong VCT route, my floor has trowled expansion joints in + pattern and also partially cement covered expansion joints with the felt/wood filler at the base of the stem walls. I need to fill the center joints level and cover the felt perimeter joints with something... there's also about 5 small holes ranging from 1/2"x1/2" to about 2"x1.5". I was at Home Depot today looking at the Sikaflex self leveling stuff and some quickcrete concrete patch. I was wondering if the Sikaflex gave enough support to prevent the VCT tile from flexing since it will be right at the edge where two tiles join. From some other posts I keep seeing Ardex Feather Finish being mentioned a lot which seems like it might work for all three issues.. any expansion joint advice?

My second issue is this is a 3 car tandem garage but the rear 3rd car area is on a separate slab which has some cracking ranging from 1/16-3/16". Because of the cracks the floor is not level and I was thinking this was bad news for VCT and would lead to cracked tiles. I've seen several epoxy crack fill/repair products that I was thinking about using, but I still have the leveling issue..... so do I use a leveling compound (which one? maybe more feather finish) or an underlayment like really cheap sheet vinyl and cover the area with more VCT... an optional thought was to VCT the main two car area but then epoxy the back so I don't have to worry about the leveling issue. what say all you guys in the know?

My last question is about VCT glue.. I saw Armstrong 750 mentioned a bit.. is this generally the best all around stuff. I tend to get some puddles of water in my garage from a bass boat that gets a lot of use.. is there a better glue for areas w water dripping from the boat?

just the back ground....this garage is about 15 years old and while the back has cracked, the main 2 car area has not and the expansion joints dont appear to have moved at all.... there's also some oil/fuel spill area in the main part which has me leary about applying epoxy there too....and its located in the Cal central vally so freezy is not really an issue.

Thanx for any input guys,, sorry for the long read, lol, just want it all done right... Jim
