Mr big britches thinking I know it all, had a tiny floor install to do in a commercial washroom area in a building I own. Long story short: DO NOT USE a 3/16" V-notch trowel (suited for ceramic tiles) to spread your VCT glue over an old VCT floor.
WAYYY too much glue and I've been squeezing it out for the past 48 hours, to the point where I should have ripped it back up.
Use the perscribed 1/16th or whatever VCT Trowel and cover it properly.
Too much glue has turned my quick fix project into a nightmare.
