VCT install laughter - Learn from my mistake

Mr big britches thinking I know it all, had a tiny floor install to do in a commercial washroom area in a building I own. Long story short: DO NOT USE a 3/16" V-notch trowel (suited for ceramic tiles) to spread your VCT glue over an old VCT floor. WAYYY too much glue and I've been squeezing it out for the past 48 hours, to the point where I should have ripped it back up.
Use the perscribed 1/16th or whatever VCT Trowel and cover it properly.

Too much glue has turned my quick fix project into a nightmare.

I lived in a duplex 20-something years ago where the landlord had a guy come in and replace tile in the kitchen - he did something similar because the adhesive was oozing up through the joints for a week. It got so sticky on top that when you'd walk across the floor the tiles would stick to the soles of your shoes and pull up off the floor

Yeah, I used to correct trowel, and can see where some tiles shifted, and pushed glue up between the adjacent row of tile.
