First, I'm a complete newbie, but I'm a newbie with a new 900sq ft garage that I need to put flooring in. I've browsed the epoxy threads, even found a few acid stain threads, but have recently found myself drawn to the idea of VCT. I bought a tile from HD and tested it with carb cleaner and brake fluid. Discolored, but not degraded. I like!
In several of the threads that I turned up in a search, people were referring to plans to coat their VCT floors with urethane, but no one has given a report on how the job turned out. Anyone have any news on how a VCT floor does when coated with urethane?
