VCT water issue..assistance please!

Hey board!
So Ive been installing VCT over the past month when I find time. We finally got some rain here in socal and my neighbors shop had a leak that flooded my shop. After drying all the tiles, I noticed that some tiles faded or got lighter from the water sitting on them. Is there anyway to fix this? I didnt have any sealer or wax on the tiles. Will sealing and waxing fix them or am i screwed? TIA

if they are faded how will sealing them magically add color back in?

sealing it and waxing might "hide" but thats about it.

a little color fade is the least of your probs. Im sure it will blend in over time

I recently finished putting in VCT in my garage and 4 days after I finished it poured out and I forgot to put the door sweep back on the service door entrance. I walked into the garage a day later and noticed that when I walked water would bubble up from the tile seams and also some looked stained from the water. I called armstrong and was told that the tiles are shipped with a coating called Fast Start that makes stripping the floor unnecesary after install and that the discoloration was from the fast start getting wet. I applied 5 coats of floor polish and rented a high speed buffer and the discoloration is gone. I assume your situation is similar to what happened to me. Good luck
