I know they can be used with a mill, to make gears.

What else can they be used for ?

What is one like this worth used?

Are parts and accessories available (Some might be missing, like the tail stock and the center parts)?

He also has a 3685 Bison Set Tru 6 1/4" 6 jaw chuck which I think will work with it.

What does a 6 jaw chuck do that a 3 or 4 jaw won't?

And what would that be worth?

Thats a Taiwan copy of the classic Brown and Sharpe DH, the design's gotta be near a century old by now. Sorry I cant comment on the quality, I usually have either great or terrible luck with imported tooling. At auction that might go for $100-150 on a good day, $20 to someone like me on a bad. Looks like its ~$500 new online. As for uses, a dividing head is handy anytime you need to index a part. I find myself holding shafts with them more often than not to mill flats or slots, think the last time I used my old Kempsmith head was to put four flats on a shaft to make a new lathe chuck key.

6-jaw chucks are useful to prevent marring up parts, the extra jaws give it similar holding power to a 3 jaw but with much less pressure on the part.
