I purchased a vise this last weekend and I am trying to find information about it. There are no markings on it but here are the details I know.
- Jaws are 3.45" (88mm) wide
- About 6.1" of clamping distance between the jaws (when the acme screw engages the threads of the moveable jaw)
- Appears to be an acme or other trapezoidal thread on the lead screw with a ~1/4"/6.5mm thread pitch
- The base/mount engages with the main body (fix jaw) with a T-slot
- The vise without the base weighs roughly 40 lbs
- The moveable jaw rides on machined faces (4 total faces per side)
- It was a forest green color at some point in it's life
- The screw that holds the plate that holds the lead screw in seems to be M8x1.25 (5/16-18 was very sloppy; M8x1.25 was a decent fit and running a tap through it just clear out old gunk)
- This screw was a machined slotted screw with a cylindrical head
