I purchased a vise this last weekend and I am trying to find information about it. There are no markings on it but here are the details I know.

  1. Jaws are 3.45" (88mm) wide
  2. About 6.1" of clamping distance between the jaws (when the acme screw engages the threads of the moveable jaw)
  3. Appears to be an acme or other trapezoidal thread on the lead screw with a ~1/4"/6.5mm thread pitch
  4. The base/mount engages with the main body (fix jaw) with a T-slot
  5. The vise without the base weighs roughly 40 lbs
  6. The moveable jaw rides on machined faces (4 total faces per side)
  7. It was a forest green color at some point in it's life
  8. The screw that holds the plate that holds the lead screw in seems to be M8x1.25 (5/16-18 was very sloppy; M8x1.25 was a decent fit and running a tap through it just clear out old gunk)
    1. This screw was a machined slotted screw with a cylindrical head
I just spent an hour combing through the vintage vise library online and could not find a match. If you have any information, I would greatly appreciate if you shared.
