Hate to be the one to tell you but, I haven't seen Craftsman make a 1/2 inch drive impact socket over 1 1/16 ever.:(

that's one of their drawbacks, they don't make sae impact sockets over 1 1/16 or metric beyond 27mm.

Argh! That *****, guess I'll have to look for one from another brand. I just like to keep my sets all one brand, but if I dont' have a choice so be it. Now, anyone have a USA made 1/2" drive 1 1/4 impact for sale? Thanks!

Sorry. I just checked and nothing surplus that large. On the rare occasion when confronted with a fastener larger than 1-1/8", I use a 3/4"dr socket and breaker bar to loosen it. Then, I put the 3/4" socket on the 1/2" impact with an adapter to spin it off and on.

Off topic, but somewhere I found a pair of beautiful Bonney 1/2"dr 1-1/4" and 1-3/16" Loc-Rite chrome sockets. Wish I had the complete set down to 3/8".

thnx, jack vines
