Hi. I know it's a working garage floor, but my epoxy is looking somewhat beat. The top coat is probably a polyurethane coating.

When I damp mopped the floor I sprayed some quik detailer just for kicks. The floor looks pretty good! Not real slippery just more squeaky.

Well I was wondering if you guys have used anything else on the epoxy, like floor wax or something to increase or restore the shine.
Oh and I don't want extra slick.. safety first. of course.

BTW, I used a sponge mop before, I changed to a microfiber flat mop, this thing works so much better picking up the dirt dust and easy to rinse.

Before applying a wax or something similar, I think I would try buffing a small section first. If it's a urethane it should come up.

go rent a floor polisher. basically your floor is either dirty or scratched. you need to clean it and buff or sand it down to make it shine again. just like the clear coat on a car.

if it's a polyurethane top coat you can use a product like futura it's an acrylic floor polish. works great at bring the shine back.

it also depends on how thick your top coat is.. you could try buffing it out to a shine but if it's a thin coat you might buff through to the color coat or concrete floor.
