I am considering a Miller 212(old tap style)and the new 212 with the variable voltage. Both are new with warrenty. The older tap unit is $150 cheaper. I would like to know if the new variable voltage is a better unit. I am also looking at the older Lincoln pro mig 215 vs the pro mig xt. What is the difference between them.
Thanks for any input Mike

get the newer MM212, less trouble on the small stuff such as fan, rollers, bearings. parts are always harder to find on old machines.

I have a tapped MM212 and I couldn't be happier with it. Tapped machines are inherently easier to tune in and find the sweet spot for a given setting. You'd be happy with either one.

Thats how my MM 211 is, set the voltage and diddle with the wire speed a little and your good to go. :)
