What is this thing???

I'm baffled of what this thing is I got it in a bag of sockets and other stuff. It has a male 1/2 square drive and head is just round and hollow but there is notches inside for a ball detent I guess but there is 2 sets other set is farther down bellow first set. There is no markings on it no coo nothing. Look forward to learning what it is. Maybe a swivel for plugs ?Can't put ratchet in round end.

Ahhh I see so it had a pipe for the end like a snap on 3/4 ratchet head takes,. Well this thing is useless for me oh well it came in a big bag of sockets all mint hornet and a flawless nos bonney ratchet for $10 also had 6 apex square drivers for power tools 3 1/4 3 1/2 with pin detents and more. Just wanted to figure it out what a crappy idea for 1/2 drive lol.
