What size c clamps are most useful?

...I've never run across the need for 10,000 lbs of clamping force.

I suppose some of you are using them to bend railroad tracks or battle ship hulls. Just something I don't do....

I've used my bridge clamps and heavier C clamps for pressing things. 10,000 lbs is 5 tons. Not that much really in that context.

Thanks guys I picked up a couple of hart clamps at Home Depot.
The price is reasonable because it is forged steel and have acme threads.

Which f clamp do you recommend? There are a couple mentioned not sure if I need the one you add your own pipe or the handy ones?
I have nothing against f clamps but usually I need to weld close to the ground and find the f clamp gets in the way

I bought 20+ Bessey TGJ w/ 2K composite handles. They have been excellent, I use them every day without fail.*

Clamps are called "light duty" but I use them for fairly heavy welding projects. The composite "2K" handle makes all the difference for me.

You can find these at Home Depot, I think I purchased mine through Grizzly years ago?

*The only thing I would change would be using them in reverse, as spreaders. These do not have that feature and it would be nice to see.

I've got 30 Bessey K body clamps. They're great woodworking clamps, but not a substitute for a C clamp in any way.
