I have a 30x50x10 shop, well insulated shop that has an existing 3/4" 3/8" lineset that hasn't been used yet. What is the smallest mini split that I can use with this line set? I was hoping for no bigger than 2 ton.

Are these ID or OD tube sizes? Those sizes are available either way but refrigerant tubing is always called out by OD.

You need to check with the manufacturer specs. Dont go bigger than what is required for that unit, it will change the charge, plus it wont fit the flares anyway. My Mr Cool 18k has 1/2 and 1/4

Be careful on this. I doubt the manuf will even give you a number for refrigerant charge other than what the published spec is. there is no upside for them to do so. That will kinda put you in the “hit and hope” spot.
