Ok, I have my 75,000 btu Mr.Heater plumbed, wired and mounted. What size propane tank would you guys recommend? My building is 40x60 and very well insulated. I'm going to set the thermostat at 45.deg. then bump it up to 65 deg. when out in the shop.(evenings and weekends) Thanks

I would go with a minimum of a 120 gallon. It is the smallest that most propane companies will come out a fill. It is also the largest that can be tucked up against the building (at least here in WA state that is the case).

You and I have the exact same plans regarding to heating the shop.

I found a nice used 120 gallon locally here for $300. I poured a 30x32 inch pad right up against the corner of the shop.

I have a 100 gal. tank and it lasts for the whole heating season. I lease the tank at $50 a year because the rental cost for 10 years is equal to the purchase price of a tank that will have to be hydro. tested in 10 years at which time they come out and replace my tank with a new one for free.

Actually there is a 100lb cylinder that have the proper connections for filling with a bulk truck. I have one @ my shop that I have a 75, 000 BTU salamander heater hooked up , the tank is about twice the size of a beer keg. it hold's about 23 gals.
