where to mount the AC

Installing a thru the wall AC unit on the back wall of my new garage. Question is how high from the floor do I mount it? ceiling height is 9 feet 6 inches. Any thoughts?

cold air falls, up high is ought of the way also.

Don't put it up past 6 feet or so. You've gotta change/clean the filter every month - who wants to have to haul out a ladder to do that?
