I have a regular residential garage and I'm not looking to do any heavy work.

Which product will you recommend? Rustolium, Behr, Quickrete. Although they are not 100% solids, I have heard people having good luck with it. Expoxy coating is very expensive. Also I have seen HD sell industrial quality rustolium.

Well Jagg, we have a waterborne kit that may meet your budget. Gives you two full coats of epoxy, (3) flake colors and all the tools, totaling approx. 6 mils.
$198.00 including free shipping.

I'm thinking cheap or expensive, the best way to get real quality results is in taking extra care in your surface prep. The best epoxy in the world won't stick to a dirty floor.

That said, after a year of reading this forum every day I've seen nothing but good stuff written about the Quikrete Bond-Lok surface prep.

Good luck with your choice.

I did mine three years ago with Quickrete Epoxy with the Bond Lock Solution that was included in the kit and it looks great. It holds up to floor jacks and oil spills and even some weld splatter. The key is of course good prep work, but I also found that if you take to long to apply the coating it will dry as you roll it on and then it won't adhere very well. One half of my garage is bulletproof, the other isn't. The half that isn't as tough is due to my error in taking too much time to roll it on. It dried as I was applying it. If done correctly, great product and I will use it on next house.
Hope that helps !
