why do i get logged out so quickly?

I am new here but I do belong ot other boards. I have found I get logged out so quickly it gets frustrating. Sometimes I am in the middle of writting something and I get a bit of a distractions and have to set it aside for afew minutes. Low and behold I am logged out and I dont find out until I finish my post and it will not be sent.

I looked at my settings and I don't see anything that may control this. Any suggestions appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Yep I had this too. There is a check box when you sign in. Check that box and you wont be logged out at all.

You should be able to stay logged on all the time unless you clear cookies. Have you ticked the box keep me logged on as posted above?

Happens to me too ... one of the things i do (if i can remember) when typing out a post is to stop occasionally to make a copy of what i've typed. That way when I do get logged out, I don't have to retype everything again, just paste it back in.

Despite checking the box, I also get logged out if I stay on the same page too long if I am typing a post. Also use the Copy/Paste tool since I don't wanna lose all the text I just entered.

To all 3. It may help if you clear your cookies every so often or clear your history in your search engine. You have to log on again but if you tick the remember me box you should find that resolves the issue. If you clear cookies / history again you will find you have to log on again.
