Thinking about buying a newer/bigger AC window unit for shop. Would like to get biggest size (BTU) that can be operated on 120V. Have 900sf shop.

Has anyone checked into this and already have some info to share?
Also, what brands do you recommend?

Maybe I can pick up a scratch and dent special in back storeage area of local big box stores while it is cold and everyone else are buying K1 heaters.

thanks, jay50

1 ton or 12,000 btu is about the largest for 120v. It should do a fair job of cooling a 900 sq ft shop. It all depends on the ratio of latent to sensible load.

Thanks, that about what I have been seeing. I now need to measure inside area of window for fit; seems like some of big units will not fit.:spit:
