I have a receptacle that looks like this......Bottom right on the page.

Coming into the box I have a red,black, white and bare copper wires.
I know the white has to be terminated in the box and connected to neutral at my panel
The bare copper goes to the round terminal.
The red and black wires are my question. Since they are both "hot" does it matter which side of the receptacle they get attached to since one blade is wider than the other
