Did your uncle happen to take any pics while he was making it? Post those too if he did. I'd love to see the whole construction process. The caption said it was "scratch built"; wow! Get some close-ups of the tuning machines, bridge, etc., etc.. I'm sure your Dad would like to have some 'history pics' too.

All, Thanks for the compliments.

Pirana, I will talk to my uncle this weekend and I will get any info I can and post it up. The guitar sounds wicked, I should try to post a video, but have not quite perfected that one just yet!

Very nice work. I have seen some great instrument building at sawmillcreek as well. Amazing what some people can build. Well done!

Absolutely fantastic work.

Making a guitar is really difficult and requires both skills and good taste.

The builder has both in abundance.

Try to get a pro to play it and see what he thinks. I have repaired a few guitars and amplifiers with electrical troubles and I am absolutely amazed by the skills many guitar players have. The are able to hear things that even the best test instruments can not find. If the picker says something is amiss, believe him. If he says it sounds great then you have created a masterpiece.

Guys and gals,

Thanks for all the help if you voted. My uncle ended up winning and got a set of Keen work boots!
