Long-time lurker, first-time poster.

I'm looking to replace a rusty set of 1/4" drive Craftsman sockets in my collection. I'm considering a set of Williams sockets for around $30 shipped. For that price, it's safe to assume it's the newer, imported variety. But, I thought I'd check and see if anyone here had anything.

I'm looking for a shallow 1/4" drive 6-point metric set. I also would consider a set with both shallow and deep sockets. I'd prefer one of the industrial brands. However, I'm not made of money, so I need something a little more affordable than Snap-on.

I'm looking for any of the following in the $25 to $40 shipped price range for a shallow set:
Armstrong
Blackhawk
Blue Point
Cornwell
Genius
Mac
Matco
Proto
SK
Thorsen
Toptul
Williams
Wright

I'm flexible on the brand and tools do not need to be in like-new condition. Used is fine. Of course, I'll pay more if the set includes deep and shallow sockets.

I can pay by PayPal. Shipping will be to zip 66614. Here's a link to my eBay feedback to show I'm legit. http://myworld.ebay.com/stephen9666/

Also, I'll attach a few pics of my garage to prove I'm a real enthusiast. It's not much, only an oversize one car. But it includes a homemade bench, shelves and computer stand.

Have you considered taking them to Sears and having them replaced? Rust is covered under "Satisfaction Garunteed"
