WTB Drill press vise

Anyone looking to part company with one? Prefer an older USA model. I am not looking for one of those low and wide HF specials foe less than $20 new.

Heck, even an old, and smaller sized milling machine vise would do great.

Not to hijak,But I have been on the search as well.

Buck, I have also been scowering every where for one since I rebuilt my press.

I would really like to get either a Heinrich 6SV or 8SV. But all the ones that I have stumbled upon are way out of my league.

I use a 6SV at the plant and that thing is great. Real heavy and it does not move or vibrate in any way.

I would even be willing to do some trading for the right one.

Sure,It is the generic term for the many types of clamping products such as positioning clamps,step blocks,T-bolts,vertical clamps,latch clamps,etc..,pneumatic,C,L,Bar,fixture,angle,5 axis,3 axis,milling,drill press,etc....................................................................... and a bunch more .

UB I have see Wiltons at HD and the CM in some stores personally i do not like the action on any of the low profile vises I like the taller machine style as they have finer take up threads.

Agreed, but I am drawn to those two handled quick clamping vises though. I suspect they are quite nice.

No, I guess I have not. Tell me more please.

I use the 6SV at work and that thing is great. Just put your work in the jaws,Slide the bottom knob forward till it touches the work,Then pull down the upper knob and its locked. Has 3 mounting areas to bolt down to the table if you want also. They are a little pricey,but they are a very quality unit that is made in the USA.

Sets up a piece to be drilled in under 30 seconds.
