***DONE*** WTB fabricated metal bar ends
**** DONE *****
Hi, I'm missing a handle end on the Rock Island woodworking vice pictured below. Apparently need to fabricate new handle ends and I don't have a metal lathe or milling machine. WTB two fabricated ends with shipping to NYS.
Not too particular about what they are made of (e.g., steel, brass, etc.) or shape, just want them to match and work. Original is pressure fit but I'm not opposed to setting them with a drift pin if necessary. I believe original end is steel and bar appears to be brass.
The bar is 0.875" diameter. Ends are turned down to 0.750" diameter approx. 0.975" long. The original handle end is approx. 1.675" long and tapers from approx. 1.125" at narrowest section to 1.400" at widest section. (The hole inside needs to be 0.750").
If anybody is interested in fabricating two ends, please PM me with price including shipping to NYS. Can settle in advance by PayPal. I'm assuming this is a relatively easy project and I'm open to other suggestions.
Thanks!
