The idea of having your tools at hand rather than in a drawer is enticing, but things like pliers often don’t work all that well in a tool board environment, right? Well… These folks sent me an email the other day and they think they just might have a solution – for pliers at least.

Seems cool. I'm assuming made in China? I couldn't find anything about where the COO is.

Made in Taiwan according to amazon listing. Is cool but it's just a standard pliers rack cut down small with a sheet metal box around it. I think you could easily make it yourself with nothing but pliers of all things.

I put it in my wish list so I would not forget about it. It's a bit big for what I need, wish there was a smaller version. or a combo - pliers on one side, some screwdriver drops on the other.

Nice way to waste money and further complicate things!

Put a metal piece looking like this:
I______I
and screw it to the wall. All your pliers of various shape and size will fit. And it's practically free.

Just saying.

I kinda like it. Its not revolutionary but it looks like a decent little storage tray.

I have the spray can tray and glove tray similar magnetically attached to my 4 post lift. I can see this saving me a few steps used on my lift
This is one of the "Toys" that may not be the best money spent, but something that works for me. I bet Harbor freight will be selling a knock off with magnets to stick on the side of boxes before you know it.

I would like it if it was magnetic, strong enough to hold on the side of a tool case

Amazon lists the country of origin as Taiwan and to be honest, for $30.00 plus tax, you could likely make your own for much less.

Yeah but 9/10 attempts won't look half as finished as that. It'll be some cobbled together **** that sticks out like an eye sore :shocking:

Kinda neat, but I just use to buy a bigger tool box when the tools started to touch. Ya I know I'm one of them!

I agree to a point, but you have to ask you does this really matter if the homemade version looks as this came out of a factory? After all, all this unit is meant to do is store the pliers.

Personally if I am going to spend the money on a storage unit at this price point, this better be American made. As cheaper options do exist and appearances only matter to a point for me.

You could take yard sale stuff to make one of those quite easily IMO. Take the metal tool tray out of a cheap metal tool box, cut it to length and fold the end up 90 degrees. Then take a metal top grill rack(again, can be found at garage sales/flea markets/etc) or closet storage shelf and you have your slots. You can buy some rare earth magnets and pop them on the tray, easily should hold to a tool box and will be the biggest cost investment in the storage rack...you can attach with rivets for cheaper, non-portable rack. Want it on a peg board? Take two pegs and put them through these guys at either end:

To be honest with you, I could care less where it is made. The days of US made goods are dwindling because America simply won't pay for them.

Why should I deliver US made goods when it's cheaper to have them made to the same quality over seas. Just about anyone outside of this forum could care less where anything is made. I've met one person that tries to buy us made, but he's a veteran. That's understandable.

I have this one that works pretty well in my craftsman rolling toolbox. I cut it in half and put each piece on either side of a medium deep drawer in my toolbox and it allows for most pliers to fit in there with room in the middle for the bigger items to lay down. Half as much. No countertop wasted. Tools stay in toolbox. Its been good to me.

I ordered a pair last week and may consider your idea to cut them in half if it fits better rather than long as the drawer. For $15.95, they are coated and strong enough for the job. One may not need the "industrial" strength of the Pliersrack II to organize the plier drawer
