So, I’ve been laid up the past week after a battle with an oral surgeon. Complete mess of unimaginable proportions, but the time off allowed me to spend a lot of time doing things that I rarely get to do – like mindlessly browsing the internet.
Anyway, a lot of you guys probably don’t know this but I’m a pretty passionate Porsche guy. And while the love of my life will always be early Ford hot rods, I will also always reserve just a little room in my heart for the Porsche 911 as well. And it’s that passion that lead me to Larry Kosilla.
It was late last week and my body was jam packed with Hydrocodone. Sleeping was not an option, so I decided to hit youtube… and it was there that I found Larry’s videos. See, for a few years now Larry has been producing and promoting his own videos that kind of cover his life as an auto detailer, amateur race car driver, and Porschephile.
What makes these videos so great is that they are gorgeously produced, really enjoyable to watch, and pretty damn informative to boot. I haven’t gotten completely caught up on all of his videos yet, but thus far this one is my favorite:
Great, right? Larry just comes across as such a laid back and likeable guy. The kind of guy you’d like to shoot the **** with and maybe grab a beer with after a good day of racing. To me, that’s what makes these videos so watchable. That, and they aren’t marketing materials for his Ammo brand. Wait. I did mention there are products behind the name, right? You’d never know it by watching the videos, but Larry actually makes and sells detailing products as well. He uses them in his videos, of course, but he never forces them down your throat. The videos are more about what to do and not so much what to use… And it’s that approach that has me really interested in trying out his stuff. I’ll do so and report back.
In the meantime, you can check out the Ammo store here and all of Larry’s videos here. Take some time and check it all out – you will be glad you did.
Editor’s Note: I don’t know Larry personally and have not been paid to pitch his stuff. This is literally a natural post in that I found something, liked it, and now I’m reporting on it.
