As promised… Part 2 is done and published. I’m pretty happy with how this thing turned out, but I’m ready to do a different type of project. Stay tuned!

Working with your kids/grandkids is the best. Now that you have some serious woodworking chops you can look forward to the day when you help at your daughters/son-in-laws new house. Oh, and the new workstation?![]()
Nice setup! What keyboard and keyset is that?
Very cool build! Saw the 911 underneath the cover in the corner, which peaked my interest, then you pull it together with the "911 RS" style door pulls. Genius!
Looks great, you may want to stick a temperature probe in the cabinet with all the electronics and monitor it for a couple days, network switches can get pretty hot.

And finally, I was asked about the nerdy tech project... Essentially, I am building a mission control panel for my studio. I started by rolling my own Samsung Frame TV (long story), and then hooking up a raspberry pi. Initially, I just had the raspberry pi pull up a website that I built with all of the info I wanted to track on it. But I've seen switched to using DAKboard... and it's awesome.
Essentially, this thing rolls through: My to do list, a monthly calendar, weather, all of my security cameras, etc... And is always on. It's been a pretty neat project:

Marc from the WoodWhisper used this fan in his Executive Desk build. People have followed up with him on his Friday Live show and he continues to report all is well and it is whisper quiet. For $25 from Amazon with a nice looking bezel it would be worth a try! All you need is a wall outlet or USB port so it’s easy hookup that doesn’t require extra work. Good luck!

Best thing? These things are dead quiet. Super happy.
Happy to see the fans met or exceeded your expectations. I need some info on the thermostat and fan controller. What specific model did you go with?
