Yep, these skills and memories will be treasured by his daughter all her life, and this will pass on to the next generation. The best memories of my youth involve the projects we did with my dad.
Great looking office setup. Organization is awesome -- saves lots of time everyday for years to get things organized from the get-go.

Very cool build! Saw the 911 underneath the cover in the corner, which peaked my interest, then you pull it together with the "911 RS" style door pulls. Genius!

It's a NYM96 kit I put together last year... Just has regular ole Dolch keyset.
If only it was an RS under that cover.

So, in that cabinet I have:
- surge protector
- network switch
- apple tv
- raspberry pi (runs 24/7, but is in a case with a small fan)
- Samsung connect one box
And it hasn't gotten that hot at all really... that said, I do want to cut a hole in a side panel and run a computer fan. I just need to find a really quiet one...

And finally, I was asked about the nerdy tech project... Essentially, I am building a mission control panel for my studio. I started by rolling my own Samsung Frame TV (long story), and then hooking up a raspberry pi. Initially, I just had the raspberry pi pull up a website that I built with all of the info I wanted to track on it. But I've seen switched to using DAKboard... and it's awesome.
Essentially, this thing rolls through: My to do list, a monthly calendar, weather, all of my security cameras, etc... And is always on. It's been a pretty neat project:

Marc from the WoodWhisper used this fan in his Executive Desk build. People have followed up with him on his Friday Live show and he continues to report all is well and it is whisper quiet. For $25 from Amazon with a nice looking bezel it would be worth a try! All you need is a wall outlet or USB port so it’s easy hookup that doesn’t require extra work. Good luck!

I have a similar build that is about 16'x3' and I was worried about durability because it acts as both a desk and a bench. But after a year of use it still looks pretty good. The laminate surface and the exposed ply ends have a few scratches and dents but nothing major.

I got a bit freaked out by the virus situation and decided to go out in the studio to take my mind off of it. Figured now was as good a time as any to tackle that cabinet fan. Please excuse the terrible photos... I was using a phone in the dark pretty much...
Ideally, I would have liked to put the intake fan down low and the exhaust fan up high on the opposite side of the cabinet... However, I couldn't do that because I had drawer slides in the way. As it stands, each fan is located near the middle of the cabinet on opposite sides.
I am adding another raspberry pi to this cabinet sometime soon, but even so... this dual fan setup with a thermostat is prolly overkill. Better over than under though...
Best thing? These things are dead quiet. Super happy.
