I should’ve done this earlier. I didn’t. The idea arrived late, like most good ones do, somewhere between loading the fourteenth box of tools into a truck headed for Colorado and remembering I still run a website.

Amazon Prime Days. Three of them. Starting now.

For the uninitiated: yes, I’m moving. Entire operation. Colorado. New mountains, new shop, new neighbors who have no idea what’s about to happen to their noise ordinances. It’s a full-on production and I’m running it at speed, which means the site needs its affiliate links clicked and its deals posted and its gears kept turning while I’m out here making catastrophically terrible decisions.

Every link you drop in this thread earns a cut for the site. That’s the deal. That’s always been the deal.

I’m posting this in General instead of Hot Deals because I want civilian eyeballs, not just the deal-hunters. You know who they are. Seventeen browser tabs, coupon browser extension, the kind of person who considers a 15% discount a personality trait. Love them. Not here for them exclusively.

These appear to be surprisingly well made. (I was not at all impressed with their 8-inch model, but this one is pretty spiffy.)

Ryan, once you get here (or if you are visiting to look around), feel free to drop me a line. We have a decently active group in CO (mostly along the Front Range, though people travel all over).

For Prime Days, I have been fairly happy with the Kindle Scribe I have. Mine is the first version, but I have had multiple people comment on how much like paper it feels to write on. I know that was a priority for them when they were making it, so hopefully it carries through to the latest versions.

I have posted these before, but they are pretty awesome LED "offroad" driving lights for $21 bucks (Their price fluctuates; I have got them as cheap as $16 before).


I have a pair on my work van and my wife's truck. They really light up the back roads compared to the factory 1990s-era headlights.

Put the rotary tool to use modifying a filter refill for our robot vacuum for my wife. Apparently, Roborock doesn't offer the same filter anymore and the generic one she bought was about 2mm (5/64") larger. Simple enough to trim off with the cordless rotary, and we're back in business. Looked in...

Not really a tool or probably not a prime deal but I'm addicted to these now after my neighbour gave me a couple. I bought a new motor for my rv awning last week and I also bought a couple packs of these Chimes too.
I think they are only sold in Health food stores or Amazon.
