Spotless Water Conversion

Back in 2016, I reviewed a spotless water system from CR Spotless. We live out in the country, get our water from a well that produces incredibly hard water, and so… a water softener of some kind is absolutely necessary to wash both cars and the windows on our house. MetMo Driver

No idea if these things are durable enough to be used in a real shop or even usable at all. But, you have to admire the aesthetic of an over-engineered driver designed with products of old in mind – namely, the Baumann-Weltrecord Driver. For the machinists out there, this would be a really fun product to make on your own… and for those without the tooling/skills, if nothing else… this is a pretty neat fidget toy. Details here.

Van Neistat

Van Neistat is an artist that sells himself as a craftsman. The thing is, however, his craftsmanship is subpar to the standards of most that make a living with tools. He knows this, but never really reveals this self awareness to his audience. He’s a brilliant film maker and I absolutely adore his work.
