Hi All, Just working on a prototype wrench holder to get the tool box more organized. I have tried several designs and am 3D printing. The goal it to have a flexible design to accommodate more or less wrenches as I print these on demand based on # of wrenches in the set. Design is very scaleable and adding/removing a wrench spot and reprinting it trivial. Decided to go with a sharks tooth type design as previous atempts tend to break or prohibit easy removal. Just wanted to get sme feedback from experts here. I plan to magnetically attach to tool drawer as I often pull out a set to teh mobile box when doing work outside the garage or at other locations. Thoughts? (Please ignore finish on item as it is a quick print and drag link socket used as a prop)

Just from a usability standpoint I would round off the points. There is no advantage to them being that sharp and I can think of a couple disadvantages.

Good point...or no point (you could say). Good suggestion.

If you are going to add magnets then I would add a lip where you can lift from since you talked about moving from one tool box to another.

Are you going to do something to secure the wrenches to the holder while you are moving it?

Looks like you need to tune your printer btw.

Mentioned quick prototype print, and this was an early one, do layers are much nicer now. This is also PLA and I am using PET-G now. Also can get resin print from my son if I send files to him.

Good idea for lip, magnets are more for sliding around in the drawers, and should not be that strong.

Thinking maybe dropping a few magnets in slots during printing process. My son recommended for socket holders I printed. Had a few wrench holders in box just like this, and they did pretty good.

Bring the bottom of the two racks close together for small short wrenches. Back further apart for larger longer wrenches. Or vice versa. In my case I did both. One for metric and one for SAE. Opposite so they both nest in one drawer.

I have been scaling this design for different sizes, ie mini wrenches. Seem to fit ok. I a storing SAE and Metric in different drawers, but het the idea of inverting for side by side. Open end, combination, line wrenches will be in same drawer. Basically rotate sharks teeth 180 degrees. Im gonna give that a try.
