Here is my garage progress so far. It’s never going to be “done”, but it’s to the point I don’t have to move too much stuff to do most projects.

Garage is a 22x24 with a 14x20 third bay. Should have added more, and I wish it was a shop but wish in one hand… you know? Ceiling is JUST shy of 10 feet.

Sorry for the bad images. I was uploading from a waiting room while bored. What photo hosting website are most of you hosting on? These should be better. This is the high desert in Central Oregon.

I'm glad I opted for the extra 200 amp panel in the garage:

Then I knocked a hole in the wall so I could access the shed I needed to build:

Then I built a shed! Which was VERY satisfying for somebody who doesn't do construction.

I figured after having used it for a couple years and having ran all the 220 and 110 I needed within the garage, to the patio, and the shed it was about time to finish the interior. I wired it for surround sound, added an exhaust fan over the plasma table, and added power, data, and raceway behind the potential TV locations.

Added the rustoleum epoxy to the floor and started putting stuff back in! The feet I ordered from McMaster didn't hold up as well as I'd have liked. Good thing I special ordered the slip resistant ones... they were great and completely refunded my money, but I still have a plasma table slid off the pads to this day.

Added a unit heater, which is still not plumbed... sourcing that double wall pipe kind of ***** if you're not a contractor. Also built a workbench and went full tilt **** retentive 3d printing some more goodies for storing stuff.

Finished my Stanley organizer rack, and that pretty much brings us to the present. My next projects are to complete the hard piped air plumbing and build a jib crane. Finally about time to start working in the garage instead of on the garage!

Your shop looks incredible! Really like the wall color and stripe complementing the green rollers. Yes, you **** for picking up that welding table for $300.
Floor looks real good too. 👍

Got the jib crane up. Just need to add the montitor and keyboard mount for the plasma table. Oh, and add a hoist. None too tall, but it clears my garage door tracks there. Still can load the table with it though.

Whats the story on the jeep?
The jeep isn’t really a jeep…yet. It looks like one, but it is just a basket case project I picked up for about 40 cents on the dollar. The previous owner went big and bought one tons, 40’s, bead locks, lockers, 5.3 LS, 4:1 T-Case, fuel cell, LS swap radiator, wiring harness, fox coil overs, and enough barnes4wd and arktec brackets and kits and heims for at least 2 jeeps….oh, and a new 20ft car trailer… then decided he was way over his head and bailed on it really cheap.

That’s my next project. I need to grind out about 30% of his cold welds, fix the 4 link geometry, and then slap it back together for a family wheeling rig out of it.

Anybody ever do the OBDR trails across Oregon?

Hello fellow Central Oregonian!

Man, that jib crane would be super handy; would like to know more details.
I'm also digging your Stanley parts organizer. I just finished building my second parts organizers, which resemble yours, but I went with cheap HF parts organizers. They resemble yours a lot, but I'm sure not quite the same build quality... good enough for me tho.

Everything else is looking great.

Howdy! Thanks for the compliments on my organizer, especially since I don't work with wood. That's pretty much the only project I've ever made from wood, other than the shed I built (if that even counts?). People will hate me for saying this but...it's kind of awful. It's an imperfect material! Haha, just not for me. I had a rack designed in steel but it's gone up in price so much I couldn't justify it.

Here's my crane. I had a 10ft chunk of 4.25 OD x 3/8 wall tubing and an 8ft chunk of 4x9.5 I beam a buddy got me from his works scrap pile.

Nice.
If I put something like that together, I'd be a little concerned about too much weight bearing down on the building structure. What do you imagine the capacity is?

I don't like encroaching on another guy's thread, but here's a quick shot...

I'm no Civil, so you're on your own their. I ran enough numbers to feel safe with some pretty small loads, relatively. I have a 440lb Chinesium winch for mine, and likely won't ever need to lift more than that with it.

Finally got around to building new steps for the back patio. Played around with my gopro and filmed most of it.

I couldn't leave well enough alone, I kept imagining what a sheet metal Stanley rack would look like. My buddy bought a sheet metal brake and I couldn't resist the opportunity to try out a new tool! Only two components, infinitely stackable, bolt pattern fits standard and double thick Stanley's, slots in back for Spax lag bolts on 16" centers.
