Tried searching for this on Google, does anyone know the dimensions of a packaged US General box? Does the packaging add much to the listed size of a box? I want to make sure I have room before heading to the store and not being able to buy what I want.

My boxes had very little packing under the cardboard box. Maybe 1" of cheap foam board (the kind that disintegrates and makes a mess) and 1/4-1/2 inch of cardboard. My 42 was just all cardboard box but the 56 was on a pallet so that raised it up quite a bit. They loaded them with a forklift into my friends pickup. I had 4 young guys who work for me carry the 56 box from the truck into the garage. It's pretty heavy. The 42" can be a two person lift if the guys are big.

I had employees remove the packaging before loading mine. Highly recommend so that inspection for damage can be made at store before hauling it home. You’re going to hate having to haul it back for exchange If needed! Packaging went in their dumpster!

I'll have forks on the other end to unload it so no issues there. If I budgeted for 2-3" each dimension I'd probably be fine?

Good idea, especially as if I end up buying one it will be coming back to Canada with me!

In that case definitely inspect it at the store. Once straps are cut, the carton just lifts off, if I remember correctly. It’s very easy to place the carton back over it If you want it for protection on the trip back to Canada.

But if it's unpacked, and has some tools in it.....
Oh there will be tools as well haha. I'll be maxing my allowance of duty free items coming over the border (and maybe the girlfriend's as well)

But if it has tools in it you might already own it. Wipe a little grease, make it look used....
