Not a huge blinged out shop

But it works for now. I've got the jeep on rockwells project, the 4x8 torchmate stuffed in and somehow still managed to keep some walking room in there. I was able to stuff a 60 gal compressor in the closet with the water heater to get it out of the way and keep the noise down. Next on the agenda is to get and make room for a drill press, hyd press, and a tube bender. But its slowly coming along.

The last jeep was a load of fun. I hate that the guy who bought it chopped it up and its in a million pieces now But heres a pic of the garage a year ago when I moved in the house with the old jeep in the garage

I understand... COMPLETELY. Unfortunately, regardless of the hours of sweat you put into a Jeep, it's THEIR decision once the cash passes the barrel-head. Sometimes all you have left is a

Been a few years since I posted any updates..added a couple tools but still got some workspace

welding cart/table project, now has expanded on the bottom shelf for scrap metal storage

new drill press, jet gear driven, 12spd, pwr feed

cleaned up and ready for the next project to show up tomorrow

We have to travel a bit to really use them, theres a good bit of OHV parks in eastern/northern AL and southeast TN that we ride. But other than that there are some smaller easier parks within an hour ride from the house.

Started another project today. Picked up this 92 YJ yesterday and going to put a set of 1 tons under it

On trailer from picking it up

took off the busted hard top and washed it off

Yanked out the stock dana 30 and got the 60 in place

Still got to make the fixed end of the spring mounts then the front will be a roller again. Heres one last one showing off all the space I have to work in

How did you find it for set up? was it difficult to get it all together and 'calibrated?" Love the rigs too, though I did cringe at the thought of someone chopping up the 2a. You're inspiring me to get back out at my old Willys pickup.

Nice shop, lots more functionality in there than most of us could dream of.

The table wasnt hard at all to get set up and running. Torchmates tech support is top notch and was there to help every step of the way.

I started one there when I got it, but its not gotten much traffic so I havent updated it much lately. But yes Im gonna keep the patina just like it is, dents and all . I did the clr scotchbright pad treatment to the hood a couple weeks ago and it worked really well. When I get farther with it I'll roll it in the driveway and do the rest of the truck.

Man I hate that all my old pics fell victim to photobucket. Anyways figured it’s been a few years so why not update this ancient thread lol. Was working out of a 2car attached garage of a house then sold that place and while waiting to buy another house I rented a shop space until buying a house so I could build “my shop”.

Random pics of the rental shop. It’s a tight squeeze for all the tools and projects to fit

Bought a place middle of last year and started land clearing immediately.

Rented an excavator to dig all the stumps and roll the tree debris pile before burning it all. The pile burnt and smoldered for 10days

Had a contractor come grade the yard/driveway and shop pad area

Got to work picking out all the roots and rocks to get some grass growing before winter

1st load of gravel and concrete forms ready for inspection

30x40 pad poured and coat of cure/seal applied

More concrete under the awaning

Decided to build walls inside to help protect the insulation, make it easier to hang stuff and just to make it look a little better

Built some workbenches and started plumbing air lines while starting to move stuff from the old shop over

Yes that’s where I’ll store sticks of steel tubing. When I order it for cage work I’ll normally order enough to do 2-3 at a time so I’ve got to be able to store it inside and out of the way.
