I picked up this vise after a discussion with someone at a Swapmeet. He said he had a 165 pounder at home. My intent to not buy a vise went out the window. He sent some photos of it on the scale about an hour later. It was on a scale at an actual weight of 110lbs. I ended up meeting up and taking it home. It came apart with ease except for the base. It is going to take a little work. I’m on the fence with going boiled linseed oil or painting. I don’t know if the little bit of red paint I see is original, but that might be the other option. Anyone know the original color? Anyone know the possible age?
Also note. The imprint is 995A. The bottom of the rotating base is 9741/2
