Can you vent a gas dryer inside?

If it's upstairs above a garage in a non-heated and not very tight space ( daylight between some of the siding boards)?
Gas ranges aren't vented outside......or are they way smaller BTU output? So less CO ?

Lots of humidity, lots of dust, maybe a dash of carbon monoxide... what's not to love?

The gas range, if it is burning properly, will not normally produce much CO. And, not venting them outside probably has a lot to do with added costs that some corporate entity fought a long time ago.

Range hoods are a requirement now, correct?

I wouldn't do something dangerous because another dangerous this is commonly done

I always ran my vent when running the oven.

It was supposed to kick on automatically from the heat, but that feature never did work.

If your question is based on pure curiosity you've already gotten your answer but if you don't want to go through the roof to vent it like my bonehead HVAC guy wanted to you can run it in the attic and out a Gable wall. It made for more length of pipe but I have zero holes in the roof of my new house for plumbing and vents and such. They all go out the gable walls.

And, if the mud daubers do you a favor, and chink up your siding? Vent it outside. I don't want to read about you in the local weekly.

As for the gas range, CDC says a lot of childhood asthma is caused by gas ranges. As well as thousands of goofers are gassed by their ranges every year.

Be smart, vent your gas appliance.

They are trying to ban/restrict indoor gas ranges. Some actual poor health consequences for kids esp. I put a big vent fan behind mine 30 years ago and vent it out the roof.

Not a fan of holes in the roof either. Thru the wall it is! Now that the electric dryer just quit, and the gas dryer was not wotking, I'll fix the gas unit and vent it.

Drier vents need to be serviced they do get a coating of lint the damper on the outside can get blocked or hang open and bring outside air in.

Up here birds like to nest in drier vents. Even the ones with flaps. The birds have learned to open the flaps. Make sure to use a vent outlet that has a screen integrated or make you're own. I pulled about 2 feet worth of twigs and stuff from the drier vent in my place. I wondered why it took so long to dry clothes....

Any dryer, gas or electric, should have the exhaust vented outside. The whole idea is to get the humidity out of the structure. It has nothing to do with the burner.

Trust the Psyence (tm) is already working apparently. When they get rid of gas for cooking and heating, I'm going back to wood.

We had our electric dryer get a crack in the vent hose. Was going into the basement. Made it a sauna.

I would also suggest to clean that vent hose/pipe once and a while, you can't imagine the lint in there. I could have made clothes for the north korean army.

My son lives outside Hartford, CT. He's required to have a vent if he has a gas stove. They're pretty strict about it too. If they catch you, you get fined.
