Coworker's kid got an old partial tap and die set(Greenfield 1-1/2 & 2-1/2 NC from probably around the 50s) from his school when they were cleaning out old inventory so he brought it to me to clean up and figure out what's missing to potentially try completing it someday.
This piece was in it but while I know it's not part of the set I don't know anything about it. It's 1-1/2 inches in diameter, has no markings, has a hole(not threaded) in the side on the circular side, and has a set of three T posts on the bottom like a lathe chuck.



(Also in background is a Champion B&F Co. and Greenfield OK 1-1/2 dies for scale, plus they were part of the more interesting stuff in the box)
