Had a completely drained 90's truck where the battery read 4 volts. The NOCO GB40 couldn't start it but the with JNC 660, it started right up.
Bear in mind that if you have a discharged battery and you connect several power sources to it, one after the other, eventually it will be charged.

I asked my late father his opinion of which jump batteries were best before he passed a couple years ago.

His reply, another car.

Have a good set of jumper cables.

If your at home roll the charger out.

After the Noco couldn't crank it I checked the voltage and it did f=go up from 4.1VDC to 5.3 VDC.

I have one of those and I used it 3 times so far. Excellent product. Lost charge adapter and wire/cord and having trouble finding replacement on the internet. Weird.
The charge input is "standard"; if you can find a wall wart with the right plug on the end it will charge the GB40, though it might take a very long time. In general you need a USB-A to micro-USB cord (technically cable) and almost any USB charger.

If you are a Costco club member, they have the NOCO GBX Boost X 1250A Jump Starter for $99.99. I just saw it here in Southern California.

I just checked Costco's online store and it shows no NOCO products at all. Not all Costco stores carry the same products.

My local Costco has the NOCO GBX Boost. No info on the box nor on the Costco website. Only learned it was 1250A from this thread. I’ll pick one up tomorrow

Strange that there is no amp information on the package 0E16A70D-3E18-46DE-AC02-D5568B3D3D4A.jpeg

Interesting. Wonder if they changed the artwork for Costco... It' doesn't even show the model?
The model number for Costco NOCO GBX, is a GBX35. Info on the back of the jump starter itself. My local Costco has these for $75.00.

So, it appears on the surface the Costco NOCO GBX to be a rebranded Noco GBX45 for Costco.

Weird thing no info at all on the GBX35, only ebay sellers.

Also, Amazon had the older GB40 down to $80, last week. Now the price went back up to $100.

Hope this helps.

As long as those power sources don't do a low voltage check, like many modern ones do. For discharged batteries, I often have to start out with a 2A 40-year old "dumb charger".

I've got 2 of these portable units also. They have worked great for me, even starting the 6.7L diesel when one of the AGMs takes a ****.

If you have kids that drive and you don't trust them to properly understand how to jump a vehicle, I'd highly recommend. Much harder to screw up with one of these.

I have an email into NOCO asking the difference, between GBX35 vs GBX45. I will post the response, if and when I receive it.

Hi i recently looked into the NOCO range as i was caught out with a flat battery on my Touareg and the possition of the car would'nt allow for jump lead's in the end i went with Topdon js3000 which came in at half the price of the NOCO and also had good review's

Well, I got a response from NOCO. The response I got from them, makes me believe the GBX35 (Costco NOCO) is generic version of the GBX45. Specs are the same, internal guts are not. If that makes sense.

Here is the responses from NOCO:

Hello,

Thank you for contacting NOCO Support.

The GBX35 jump starter that is available at Costco is a special unit manufactured for that reseller in particular. While it does not have a direct equivalent to any of the models on our website, its performance would be comparable to that of a GBX45 (https://no.co/gbx45).
Sincerely,
Steve | Customer Support

I then replied and ask the following:

So, what you are telling me or not telling me, is that even though the numbers are directly comparable between the GBX35 and GBX45. They are different.

Is the internals DIFFERENT???? If so how are they different???

The response from NOCO:

They have the same internal specs.

Ive ran NOCO prodcuts a few years. Keep them charged and their trouble free. Saved me an others many times. My gb150 was great untill stolen. I recently upgraded to a gbx155 but only used it a few times so far. I bought my each my parents a siblings a gb70 few Christmas ago. Theirs don’t get used often but still worth it. For someone like my mom or sister its nice an fairly safe to use when me or someone else isnt there. They usually go on sale on amazon regularly. Still keep jumper cables on my truck but probably dont need to.

I had the noco charger and the button to start stopped working within the year. Since I bought from Amazon there was no warranty. Looked it up it is a very common issue. I think I had the 2000 amp and it was pricey.
