My Kennedy isn't quite as cool. I prefer the little knobs over the card file pulls

IMG_20181202_154601-X2.jpg

Here are a pair of real cheap ones, really rusty, but since sanded and painted with the textured paint to hide the sins I did not want to sand out, and obviously poor painting technique. Made by Rodeo Stamping LA.

Here's a pretty heavy-duty looking vintage cabinet/toolbox. For sale locally from federal government surplus on-line sale. Curious if others have seen this style with lifting eyes built into the top - I'm guessing this is maybe military spec?

The bidding is already up to $230. Would anyone here pay that or more for something like this?

I'll have to look at the 2 I have buried in storage -but they are similar, I scored them from a national guard weapons vault as they were no longer on the inventory and were getting tossed in the trash.....still have new M2 barrel gloves and misc cleaning parts and whatnot.
Very stout, OD Green of course. Mine are not as wide as the ones you have though.

Arne I don’t think Jacko’s lockers are made of aluminum cause looks like a fair amount of rust but I’d like to hear too cause I own a few aluminum ones that I’ll post pics of when it stops raining.

A few storage favs - first two are "vintage" then the Bosch is newer, 10 years old, a promo I bought through a customer friend when I worked at Worldpac

I have 5 of those small 4 drawer boxes, no 2 exactly alike, and 2 have mix and match drawer pulls. The two on the left have rounded outside corners, the others are all square. All will "interlock" with the recessed tops to minimize movement. (One I had to remove all drawers and flip it over to get it "corrected")

I agree, I like the "button" pulls the best

"Vintage" new old stock from the early 1980's. US military medical storage storage chest, the detachable lids become tables with a shelf. All aluminum watertight. 38pounds.

I accidentally bought 7 of these in 2 styles, and have since sold all but 2.

A few more. Some for sale / trade I definitely do not have enough room.

Not sure why the one image is rotated 90 degrees. I bought it for the Wilton vise mounted on it. The rolling table is heavy fully welded, came from a USPS service garage, the next pic is the data plate from i

The 4'x8' table is 2.25" maple with 2.2 angle iron on the long edge, it is a vintage "Pexto" metal smith table with a Hardy tool insert at one corner.

Old Jailers gun locker, and more

I have one of these medical cabinet/table cases I bought for camping, then radically scaled back vehicles, and space, so it sits. But these are great for this kind of use.

The tables on mine can clip to the case for added stability.

If you feel like explaining, I'm curious how this happened "accidentally". I have two "field office in a box" cases that fold out into a desk and stool. Far less practical.
I bought them from a gov surplus auction....there were three (3) on a single pallet in the listing. No real notes. Well, my friend and I get to the auction site and the guy says "your two pallets are over there" .....3 i knew about and 4 more still in sealed cardboard boxes. The guy said it was too late to edit the listing. The 7 total ended up averaging less than $8 each with taxes and fees. (I am careful about the "unit of issue" term from my time in the Army that often creates interesting supply issues for some that were "new" to ordering parts in the "Army supply system" - I was in Aviation maintenance and some of the "oops" things the taxpayer funded was just scary).

here is someone selling one on ebay that shows the other style I have. https://www.ebay.com/itm/2254752186...tRefreshRanker&_trksid=p3458402.c101113.m2109

Wish I lived in TX!

That's a great "accident" to have, BTW!

I'm clearing out our file storage in the basement of a spot that has been a bank for at least 150 years (the current building was built in 1969 though) and decided to walk around.

I found these amazing lockers, I want them!!

They had some other more modern cabinets (a fire proof safe and file drawers, it looks like):

Lyon made a version of those small receiving desks and is that the name on yours or do tell?

I haven't had a chance to find a mark yet, I think I actually have one of the small Typist type desks that you're talking about, but this isn't one. I'll have to post a pic of them side by side for scale, but this one is close to (if not) 5 feet tall in the back and is heavier gauge steel. The inside looks like it used to be military green of some sort.

Yellow cabinets are fireproof and valuable so get them if you can and if you can’t find a space trade or sell them to add to your tool funds.
Yup, got them both (I searched for anything else industrial). Funny thing is, I've been searching for a used metal storage cabinet for a long time with zero luck.
